WHO ARE WE?

ABBEY FARRELL

Abbey Farrell, has been passionate about holistic health since her early teens. She worked in the food industry for many years, developing foods and recipes for people with chronic health conditions and intolerances, and has since moved into a Naturopathic career in order to work with people more closely. Since then, she has worked in clinics specialising in biohacking and detoxification, leaning heavily into the effects of our environment and things that often get overlooked such as chemicals and building materials, EMF (electromagnetic frequencies) and light waves (such as blue light and red light therapy). She is also the co-founder of Shelter Building Projects with her husband Liam, which specialises in healthy building, taking a deeper look at the effects of building materials on our health and how to change that.

She has a passion for gut health, developing healthy relationships with food, endocrine disorders and all things female & reproductive health. Some of the things she specialises in are:

  • Thyroid conditions

  • Gut disorders (IBS, constipation, food interlaces, etc)

  • Mold illness/ exposure

  • Detoxification and reducing toxic load, with the use of “bio-hacking” equipment such as infrared saunas, cryotherapy, red light therapy, hyperbaric chambers.

  • Preconception and fertility for both males and females

PETA Matthews

Peta completed a Bachelor of Health Science majoring in Naturopathy in 2017. She is now a qualified naturopath and a mum to two very busy and energetic young boys.

As a teenager and into her twenties, Peta struggled with chronic acne and food sensitivities that the medical industry couldn’t fix. After seeing a naturopath, she saw first hand the dramatic improvement in her own skin and health from the use of nutritional and herbal medicine. This change was big enough for her that she completely changed career paths and began studying Naturopathy in her late 20s.

Peta now specialises in many areas of health with her main passions being; skin complaints (including acne and eczema), gut issues, hormonal health and fertility and metabolic health (including gestational diabetes, type 1 and 2 diabetes, elevated triglycerides, increased oxidative stress and cholesterol).

Peta works closely with clients to implement realistic long term changes for better health and wellness, and strongly believes the majority of health conditions can be improved with positive dietary and lifestyle changes.
